When Kindness Found Me…💛

A quiet story from the in-between, where connections show up when you least expect it.

Just an ordinary day — buried in meetings, multitasking, and muted introductions. I didn’t catch much.

But then, a glimpse of someone who seem to have explored the world like I do— gently, with wander…That was all it took to make me look up.

I had expected another buttoned-up presence — oppressive, loud, forgettable.

But some people don’t walk in with noise. They arrive quietly and build a presence.

One Friday, on a whim, I sent a message and just like that, the conversation began — about places, streets and how the world looks different when it’s been felt, not just visited.

After that, stories kept finding their way back. What began as quick exchanges turned into sharing thoughts & experiences, with no hurry. Meetings stretched, agendas faded.

From there, something rare unfolded — a quiet connection…easy and comforting.

Some people make time feel safe, like they were meant to cross your path – even just for a while. Maybe it was just timing. Or maybe, this presence arrived for a reason — a reminder of what goodness still feels like.

There was always a response. Always patience. And a gentle kind of listening. Even the smallest of help carried weight, something most would overlook.

Kindness that doesn’t announce itself, goodness that didn’t seek attention but stay.

Steady, sharp-minded, hardworking, reliable. Funny in the most unintentional ways.

And somewhere in a rhythm that built softly over time, I also noticed a familiarity in thoughts, in the quiet way of being in the world.

It was surprising, but softly reassuring — like crossing paths with a familiar self that mirrored your own.

A calm exterior, intelligent soul, a deep love for the dog and within all that gentleness —there was an unmistakable love for scary movies & every well placed punch.

Even on the busiest days, between shifting calendars and endless tasks, I found myself looking forward to the one meeting that never felt like work — the one where I got to share space again.

Days felt lighter. And somehow, no matter the weight of the day, it always ended with a smile. Mine.

It felt like something I was meant to notice, a shift I hadn’t known I needed — To be kind again. To be human again. To carry something good forward.

Maybe that’s what some souls are meant to do-arrive and leave you better than they found you.

If these words are ever seen by the one they were written for,

I hope there’s a pause.

A smile.

A moment of knowing —That yes, it mattered.

And ‘Thank you for being there.’ 🙂
