A year of new places, unexpected growth, and discovering a different relationship with life.
You sound happy.
I think I am. This year has taken me across continents, to places I once only dreamt of—Machu Picchu, Canada, Alaska, and so much of Europe and Asia. I’ve collected experiences, memories and a kind of freedom that has made my world feel bigger.
And what about you? Do you feel better?
More than I can put into words. I’m calmer, more content in my own company, and less dependent on external validation. I recover more quickly from difficult days, appreciate the little things more, and feel more at peace with myself.
So, you have it all figured out?
Not at all. But I have learnt that I don’t need to. I can be grateful for where I am and excited about where I am going, all at once.
What’s next, then?
More adventures to destinations still on my bucket list — Iceland, New Zealand and Australia and new professional horizons.
I am looking forward to fresh challenges, a more fulfilling career and opportunities to grow, while holding on to the peace I’ve found and the person I’ve become along the way.
And what makes you so hopeful about what’s ahead?
Perhaps it’s because I see life differently now. There’s so much I’ve experienced, so much I’ve learnt, and so much still waiting to unfold. The future holds possibilities, and I’m meeting them from a different place within myself.
So, what have you learnt? Is everything perfect now?
No. Life is hard, and it will always throw unexpected challenges our way. But you have to believe that you doing your best and that you are enough.
Work hard for what matters to you but take breaks when you need them. Be kind to yourself.
You don’t need to have all the answers today. Sometimes, you just need to keep going and let life surprise you.
Then, shall we meet again next October?
Absolutely. Let’s meet again in October 2027, a little wiser, a little happier, having grown a little more with each small step along the way.🍂
